Welcome to Iti websites, where we give you just what you need, and nothing you don't. Iti was created by Flying Geese, which is owned and founded by me - Faumuina Felolini Maria Tafuna'i, a daughter of Samoa living in Ōtautahi. We developed Wayfinding for Websites as a process to support Māori and Pasifika businesses get a website up and running quickly. Wayfinding takes the principles of celestial navigation and ocean voyaging by ancient and modern Pacific voyagers into a thinking framework. It was developed under the guidance of voyaging tohunga Hoturoa Barclay-Kerr.
So, getting a website can take up lots of time. We've tried to make it faster for you by getting you to fill in this form, which will give us a lot of information that will help us get things started for you. In some places it will be text, in others we will be asking for photos. We want to know what you do have and what you don't have. We also want you to know what kind of website you can expect. For Iti, you get five pages - Homepage, About us, Shop, Booking Form, and one extra kaupapa page.
Once you have filled in the form, you can then book an hour with our writer, Sam Totten. So don't feel frustrated with the writing parts - you don't have to get it all down. That's what Sam is for.
Our plan is really not to just build a site for you, but also coach you to tell your story, take your photos and videos. You might already be great at these things, which is awesome.
